**Svanhals** (Goose neck) [Schwanenhals] benämnes ibland hela det beslag, hvarmed en storbom, waterbom o. d. ledbart förenas till masten eller sidan, men egentligen är det endast den vid dylika beslag oftast förekommande järnpjäsen i bommens förlängning, som borde kallas så.
